JC's Project is a Christian rock band that was born out a small worship team at the now former Open Door Community Church of Stafford, VA. The name was given as a testimony that we are all Jesus Christ's work in progress as the Scriptures are written in Philippians 1:6:
"Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."
Band members include, Rev. Tom Neal - guitar and vocals, Jeremy Neal - bass guitar, John Matthews - drums, and Jim Ellsmore - lead guitar
This group is dedicated to serving the Lord using the gifts He gave each of us in music. We're not perfect, but we play with all our heart and a great love for Jesus!
Meet the Band
Guitar & Vocals
Tom is the founding member of JC's Project and principle song writer. He is also an ordained minister and has served as worship and Associate pastor of his former church - Open Door Community Church. He now serves as Service Coordinator and fellow pastor at Freedom Fellowship Church in Dale City, VA. Tom loves to play and write music for the glory of God. He also likes to collect guitars - even though he says he just plays at them!
Jeremy is the bass player for JC's Project and brings a wealth of natural talent to the band. He has co-written a few songs with his dad, Tom early on. Jeremy has proven himself a valuable member of JC's Project and adds that bottom end to our sound.
John has been the drummer for JC's Project since about 2010. He served as the worship team drummer at Open Door Community Church for about 4 years prior to its closing. He has a natural knack for picking up new songs without having opportunity to hear them in advance which lends itself greatly to the overall unique sound of JC's Project.
Jim is the newest member of JC's Project. He serves on the worship team at First Baptist Church in Dale City. He is the new and much needed lead guitarist for JC's Project.
